Ramanuel's Healers' Resources

What: the Healers' Resources are a state-of-the-art set of database tables that use artificial intelligence techniques to provide fast access to information relating to complimentary healing remedies and techniques. It contains information on

• crystal and gemstone healing,
• flower remedies,
• aroma therapies and essential oils,
• and other remedies.

It contains close to 12,000 recommendations on what remedy can be used to assist in the treatment of a specific condition. Information can be found on more than 850 remedies, and on the treatment of over 1500 conditions.

A "Lite" version is available on-line at http://manuel.sekmeth.com/rhrlite. It has over 7000 recommendations, with information on over 300 remedies. Only essential oils, crystals and gemstones have been included in the online version.

The off-line version offers more functionality, and can be purchased. Screenshots are shown below.

How does it work: Basically any query happens in 3 stages.

1. First you choose the type of query you want to perform: whether you want to find remedies to assist in a treatment; whether you want information on a certain remedy; or whether you want to consult the glossary.

2. In a second page, you type in your key word, and the results are presented. The query is an intelligent query that takes synonyms into account. Double-clicking on any of the results will lead you to a third page (while the query results remain stored in memory so you can access them again).

3. On the third page, you are given more details, and you can choose from 3 different views on any topic.

a) The default view is the record view that gives you information on the topic you selected.
b) The list view gives you an alphabetical list of topics from which you can choose another topic. [Not available in the "Lite" version].
c) For remedies, a "used for"-view is available, too that gives you an overview of what all a remedy can be used for. For each recommendation, the author or source is mentioned. [Not available in the "Lite" version].

Closing any of these three views, takes you back to the query results.

Options are available to print or save the results.

History: The Healers' Resources started off as a subsection of the Hyperbase, that contains information on healing techniques and healing terminology. The format of the hyperbase, however, is not optimised for heavy duty queries in so called many-to-many relationships. Soon it became clear that if the healers' resources wanted to give recommendations on what remedy could be used to assist the treatment of a condition, it would need a separate custom made solution.
