Forgiveness of Self · Meditation
Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes. Straighten your back,
allowing the breath to gently come into the body and to flow out of your body. Feel the
breath like a gentle breeze--soft and easy. No control. Just breathing in and breathing
out. If the mind should wander, or if you hear a sound outside, just take it in and return
to the awareness of your breath, this present moment.
Because we have been so hard on ourselves, we must forgive ourselves.
For to forgive ourselves, is to soften the barriers around our hearts and to let ourselves
into our hearts.
So many ways I have hurt or harmed myself, this body, this heart, this
mind. So many ways I've been critical of myself, judged myself, even victimized myself. I
allow those times, those critical and harsh words, to come into my awareness and see how
hard I am on myself.
So many ways I have not cared for you my sweet self.
But then I remember that it is out of my fear, my pain, my ignorance,
my neglect, that I hurt myself. I became confused.
It is time that I forgive myself, I have suffered enough. I have
learned and I have grown and I am ready to open my heart to myself. I forgive myself. I
open my heart to accepting myself and to loving myself. I forgive myself.
It is time to open my heart to light and love and compassion towards
myself.
Feel the Spiritual Energy and the grace all around you and within you.
Bring the light into your heart and touch those places where you hold the pain and
judgments from the past, and touch those places with kindness and forgiveness. See if it's
not time to let go.
I forgive myself. I embrace myself. I forgive myself what ever I have
done in the past, and I am ready to open my heart and to release my judgments of myself.
It is the time to open my heart and to love myself, to acknowledge that
I am an unique and precious being.
May I be happy, May I be free from self judgment. May I be free from my
fears. May I know the joy of truly understanding myself. May I know the joy of accepting
myself and loving myself unconditionally. May I be at peace.
I forgive myself.
Affirm the feeling of healing within you and let
the image melt into space. Now return to the awareness of your breathing---
breathing out, breathing out. Breathing in light, breathing out
love and compassion. Return to this room and gently open your eyes.
